Efficiency vs. Connection: What Really Moves You Forward

Your inbox is under control. Your calendar is full. You’re staying responsive.

But are you building relationships—or just maintaining contact?

In a recent Emerging Leader Program session, Thom Singer challenged participants with this insight: Relationships aren’t a byproduct of your career—they’re the engine of how you learn, decide, and lead.

The hardest question: who do you have today that you trust to help you think through a difficult decision—or open the right door when it matters?

Because reputation isn’t built on productivity. It’s built on presence.

Read the full article to explore why designing relationships intentionally changes everything.

And don’t miss your chance to learn more about the Emerging Leaders Program, where in-depth discussions, networking, and leadership growth make business insights second nature. Join us for our next info session on June 4 at 2 pm ET.

Become Unignorable

Learn how to get your ideas heard, trusted, and acted on. You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room to make things happen. But you do need clarity, presence, and a way of showing up that earns trust.

Most talented people never get the credit, influence, or opportunities they deserve — not because they lack capability, but because their ideas stay in their heads, their emails sit in drafts, and their presentations feel safe instead of compelling.

This cohort changes that. Join us for 6 weeks with Executive Coach and former CIO Chris Laping. Reserve your seat! Or learn more and ask questions at the next cohort info session on May 13 at 12 noon ET.

Board of Director Nominations Open

Are you ready to unlock your leadership potential? Nominations for our Board of Directors are now open! Seize the opportunity to shape the future of the Quest organization with your expertise and vision. We encourage all eligible candidates to submit their nominations by May 31, 2026. PeopleTools 8.62 in Action: Real Innovation, Real Results

In Episode 10 of The PSFT Connection, hosts Brooke Repine and Stephen Valentine sit down with Jeff Dudas, ERP Supervisor at Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System, to talk about what happens when you stop maintaining PeopleSoft and start using it.

With 30+ years in the PeopleSoft world, Dudas brings a refreshingly practical approach—focused on outcomes, not features. His team replaced a paper-based project request process with a streamlined workflow inside PeopleSoft that cut approval cycles to under two days. No heavy customization. Just smart use of delivered functionality.

They also tackled a ticking time bomb: a grants process running out of an Access database owned by one person nearing retirement. The fix was fast and focused—implementing PeopleSoft Grants, Billing, AR, and Contracts, converting 250+ active grants, and eliminating the single-point-of-failure risk.

Have questions or want to get involved with Quest?

Have questions or want to learn more about Quest and what membership includes? We’re here to help you explore the full community experience and make sure you’re not missing out on opportunities to connect, learn, and grow with peers across Oracle applications.

Quest membership is designed to support ongoing learning and collaboration through peer-to-peer networking at community meetups, virtual webinars, and shared conversations with professionals facing similar challenges and initiatives. Paid members also gain access to 1:1 connections through the member directory, the ability to explore and post roles in the Career Center, and additional community resources that help extend learning beyond events.

Many members tell us the real value comes from being part of the ongoing dialogue—not just attending events, but staying connected to a broader network of practitioners, leaders, and experts throughout the year.

If you’d like to learn more about what’s included or how to get involved, we’re happy to help. Email us at engagement@questoraclecommunity.org.
