Selective Adoption is the term used to describe PeopleSoft’s new application lifecycle process. It is used with 9.2 PeopleSoft product line and the 9.1 Interactive Hub. Maintenance and new features are delivered throughout the year in PeopleSoft Update Images. The Images are downloaded to your site, and you can search through them and only choose the maintenance and features that you want to deploy in your system. This is very different than the old maintenance process that featured sequential bundles and costly upgrades every several years.

Oracle keeps delivering great new tools to help PeopleSoft clients “de-modify” their systems. The newest is Drop Zones, delivered in the newly-released PeopleTools 8.57. We’ll give you a step-by-step walkthrough of how to implement Drop Zones, as well as two other “go vanilla” tools – Page and Field Configurator and Event Mapping. How do you implement a successful “bolt-on” strategy that minimizes upgrade impact, but still expands system value and targets unique requirements? Come get the vision and the tools to implement Oracle’s best practices strategy to de-modify. Vanilla really is the best PeopleSoft flavor!

As technology advances and security risks increase along with it, your company is probably looking for a login approach that is both user-friendly and safe for data. With today’s technology, IT security and ease of access are in constant conflict. On one hand, data must be kept safe from unauthorized individuals. On the other hand, there is a desire to make technology as easy to use as possible. In order to tackle these concerns for Louisville Gas and Electric, Development Team Lead, Ryan Black modernized his PeopleSoft authentication methods by identifying potential problems, creating solutions, and monitoring their functions. The company ultimately decided to leverage two-factor authentication and single sign-on within its PeopleSoft system.
