During Quest Forum Digital Event: PeopleSoft Week, Steven Wright, Curriculum Director for Oracle University, presented on how to get started with PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface (UI).

In 2020, Temple University Health System was recognized as a PeopleSoft Innovator for its use of PeopleSoft’s Fluid user interface (UI) to provide employees access to electronic job descriptions (see Page 22 for more). The team at Temple Health ultimately believes that higher employee engagement leads to higher patient satisfaction.

During Quest Forum Digital Event: PeopleSoft Week, Temple’s own Stephanie McNeil, Bret Huntington, and Lee Hasselbach joined forces to discuss this enhancement and other changes they have made to help drive employee engagement since their upgrade to 9.2.

PeopleSoft HCM Update Image 35 was recently released, and it contains a long list of helpful new features.

An Oracle YouTube video provided an overview of PeopleSoft Fluid Delegations. Delegations give users the ability to have someone else act on their behalf to initiate or approve a PeopleSoft transaction. Delegations are available for both Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) users.

As part of Quest's 2020 PeopleSoft Week, David Bain Senior Director of Product Strategy, spoke about how to manage customizations in PeopleSoft.

One of the best values PeopleSoft offers is the ease of making customizations to get the application to work the best for your business, but those customizations come at a cost. When applying maintenance you have to account for the changes. However, there are strategies you can take to minimize the cost of customizations. Bain's presentation covered what is available in the lifecycle products to help you manage change.

Customers have been branding their PeopleSoft environments for many years with Classic PeopleSoft. This typically included rich websites. Now that PeopleSoft is moving to Fluid user interface, the concentration is shifting toward Fluid branding capabilities. There are many resources available for Classic branding, but since Fluid is the strategic direction for PeopleSoft, this PeopleSoft Spotlight Series video focused only on branding Fluid applications.

Endeavour Foundation has been using PeopleSoft since 2013, and recently upgraded to 9.2 and implemented the new features and functionality in PUM Image 27.

The PeopleSoft team has identified potential issues within Fluid Simplified Journals and has corrected them in order to create a more efficient process for users. One of the primary problems is that the Journal Entry Component Page has had a very large number of fields and links. Many of these fields and links are used on only a few journals and have very particular functions.
